In 2019, while teaching in the private school, I also taught English as a preparation for Olympiad in SMP Shalahuddin Malang for three months. I felt so bad when the school announced that all learning activities had to be dismissed when the pandemic started. In the same year, I start teaching English at English Hut, one of famous private English courses in Malang, with more various level of students. I taught General English combined with English for Specific Purposes that adjusted to the educational dan occupational backgrounds of the learners. During the interval, I also worked as a freelance translator, mostly translating Indonesian documents to English. In the end of 2020, I had to move to Kalimantan and started working in SMP Swasta Bina Bangsa 01 as an English teacher. Due to pandemic, I have to teach my students online and never meet them in class yet. Besides teaching English, I also teach other subjects temporarily and administer some school’s accounts.

I have some favorites activities to do during my spare time like listening to music, watching movies and reading. I learn a lot about language, culture and view point from those activities. Songs, movies and books bring me to the place I never know before, bring me to meet people I couldn’t meet at the moment, and put me in conditions I never have imagined before. They always make me to learn more new things daily. I really love interpreting my reading then sometimes put it into a writing an argument. I also like basketball. I used to play it routinely in middle school but had to lessen it because of previous injury. Moreover, I’m interested in editing video and designing innovative teaching and learning English media. In this state of age, I experienced traumas that caused certain disorder but I realize that it can’t stop me for being a human being that full of emotions. I may stumble on my step due to my lack, but never stop me to reach my dream and hope in life. The true me is probably imperfect, but I always try to keep living as me. I may be a critical person toward smallest things happen around me, but I try to hold myself to be a judgmental around people who I work and live. But I never can’t stand injustice and nonsense event happen around people who I care and admire. I have strong interest to create and give awareness about mental health, equality in gender, believes, love interest and culture internationally. I tend to talk about those stuff rather than talking about issues happen in our country (besides education). My views of life and my taste in cultural may singular from majority that people find it hard to accept and interpret my arguments and reasons. But I will be very focus and drown deeply into something that I like. People might see me as an introvert person, but deep down I’m excited to share opinions and sharing what I know to others, colleague and students. I use some social media to share my taught, if you are interest in how my world looks and feels like from my point of view, you can find and follow me on @utami.wahyunip (IG); @utami_wahyunip (Twitter); /in/wahyunipujiutami or contact me by utami.wahyunipuji@gmail.com and 0813-4837-4773.
